What do we mean when we say college prep classes? |

Classes that prepare students for the level of rigor they will see in college classes, they build on the expectations placed on older students and are taught in a way that makes transitioning to college easier for most students; instead of lower level content, college prep classes are taught to the higher performance indicators for each content. As students progress through high school, they are expected to have courses that address the higher levels so that they are prepared for college level work. It does them no good to take a course that does not address the higher levels, they are grossly unprepared for the college levels. College prep classes also have ACT readiness standards embedded within the activities, questions used and assessments.
