Virtual Construction Site PDF Print E-mail

The new school is under construction.  Click here to see the progress being made!
It's ok to visit this virtual work site as our construction progresses!  We want you to see how wonderful our school is as the construction takes place, but we would hate to see you or someone else get hurt.  So we are bringing the work-site to you through photos.  In the next thirty days....
Our roofing will begin.  Electricity, heat and air conditioning will be operational by December.  Just in time to provide heat for all the workers as they create our facility.  This will provide plenty of time to work on interior details before school starts in August of 2009.
Right now, wings of the building are taking shape with large classrooms, science labs and computer labs as well.  We are starting to see how the interior halls have been laid out for optimum flow of students when they will be transitioning from class to class.  The most obvious photo of this planning is the grand hall in the middle of the building.  You can already see the tall pillars supporting this atrium hallway from Ooltewah-Ringgold Road.  It isn't hard to imagine the amazement when students enter the building for the first time.
For our children with special needs, the exceptional education wing is outstanding.  It includes separate parking and entry areas, in addition to large classrooms and a clinic.
As you move to the back side of the building, you will see the massive gymnasium areas.  Right now they are just large blank spaces, but you can almost hear the cheering from hundreds of fans if you close your eyes.
You will notice a curved wall in the photos.  This will be one of several curved walls incorporated in the structures design.  The media center will have a 2 story glass wall and the dining hall will have a curved glass wall leading to an outside patio.  This is not your plain, boxy old school.  This will be a comfortable, but modern learning environment in which your child will be happy to spend their day.
We will post more photos and details about the structure as the construction progresses.  Don't forget to check back with us often.
